Toll collection in the first quarter of 2012 increased again year-to-year
Bratislava, 16 April 2012 – Just as in the previous years, March was again the month with the highest toll collection for the first quarter. The complex service of electronic toll collection earned 13.5 million Euros for the Slovak Republic, which was 156 thousand Euros less than in March 2011. Nevertheless, the overall toll collection for the first quarter of 2012 was in the sum of almost 36 million Euros, which was in comparison with the first quarter of 2011 an increase of almost 104 thousand Euros.
The state earned more in toll collection in February than in the previous month
Bratislava, 15 March 2012 – The complex service of electronic toll collection generated almost 11.5 million Euros for the state in February, which was by 500 thousand Euros more than in January. An independent expert officially confirmed the efficiency of the electronic toll collection as at the end of 2011 on the level of 98.97%. As a result, SkyToll exceeded the obligatory value of the parameter of toll collection efficiency, which had been contractually agreed with the National Motorway Company to be at least on the level of 98.91%.
Bratislava, 15 February 2012 – The complex service of electronic toll collection earned almost 11.0 million Euros for the National Motorway in January 2012. Compared to January of the last year the toll collection grew by over 200 thousand Euros, which represents a year-to-year increase of 1.9%.
For the two years the electronic toll collection earned almost 296 million Euros for the state
Bratislava, 19 January 2012 – The second year of the electronic toll system also proved successful and confirmed the correct choice of the satellite toll collection technology for the roads of the Slovak Republic. Through the electronic toll collection SkyToll earned for the state the sum of 154.1 million Euros in 2011. Year-to-year the revenue increased by 8.6 %. For the two years of the toll system operation the collected sum was 295.9 million Euros in total.
Transit ticketing extended by six months
Bratislava, 30 December 2011- Drivers may use the transit ticketing till the end of June 2012. There are still 12 transit routes available.
After 1 January 2012 there will be 1 098 specified road sections left
Bratislava, 14 December 2011 – SkyToll and the National Motorway Company agreed on adjustments to the specified sections of motorways, expressways and 1st class roads, with regards to the electronic toll collection. The total number of the specified road sections will be decreased by 509. On the opposite the average length of the sections will grow, namely from 1.485 km to 2.160 km. The last condition for the prepared adjustment to come into effect will be an amendment to the decree, which is being prepared by the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic, as of 1 January 2012 and its publishing in the Collection of Laws.
In November the toll collection reached almost 13.6 million Euros
Bratislava, 19 December 2011 – In November 2011 the complex service of electronic toll collection earned almost 13.6 million Euros for the Slovak Republic. From the start of the year the toll collection reached almost 142.8 million Euros.
Just as last year October was the month of the record collection
Bratislava, 15 November 2011 – In October the complex service of electronic toll collection earned over 14 million Euros for the Slovak Republic. Even though October 2010 still remains to be the month with the highest toll collection ever, October of this year lags behind only by 0.5 %. Compared to September the state earned by almost 424 thousand Euros more, which was an increase of 3.1%.
Since the beginning of the year the toll has already brought over 115 million into the state budget
Bratislava, 13 October 2011 – The September toll collection was by 812 thousand Euros higher than the previous monthly average in 2011. In September the complex service of electronic toll collection earned over 13.6 million Euros for the Slovak Republic. Compared to August it was by 469.8 thousand Euros more.
The Slovak electronic toll system is seen by experts as very innovative
Bratislava, 28 September 2011 – Thanks to the satellite technology used, the Slovak electronic toll system, along with the German one, can serve as an example for the rest of Europe. A representative of the European GNSS Agency thinks that as well.
The number of toll offences grew in August month-to-month by 12%
Bratislava 16 September 2011 – In August 2011 the complex service of electronic toll collection earned over 13.1 million euros for the Slovak Republic, which is compared to August 2010 almost 2.8% more. The collected amount grew month-to-month by 422 thousand euros. After a decrease in July the previous progressive trend has renewed.
Holidays affected the electronic toll collection as well
Bratislava, 15 August 2011 – The holiday period and a reduced need of goods transport in the region of Central Europe were reflected in July’s toll collection as well. In July 2011 the complex service of electronic toll collection earned over 12.7 million euros for the Slovak Republic. Compared to June it was 3.3% less, which also corresponds with the month-tomonth trend in 2010. There were also less complaints and calls on the SkyToll customer service line.
Austrian tolling system operator visited SkyToll
The representatives of the Austrian public company ASFINAG visited on 18 July the headquarters of SkyToll. The reason for the visit iniciated by the Austrian side was to exchange the experiences gained during the operation of both national electronic tolling systems and to discuss the possibilities of cooperation in the field of future European interoperability. The representatives of SkyToll were also invited to visit ASFINAG in order to gain knowledge of the Austrian toll collection system. ASFINAG is the company with the nature of business similar to our National Motorway Company. Since 2004 it is operating the Austrian electronic toll collection system.
For the first half of the year the state earned almost 76 million euros in toll collection
Bratislava 14 July 2011 – In June the complex service of electronic toll collection earned over 13.6 million euros for the Slovak Republic. It is 400 thousand euros more than in June 2010. In total the toll collection earned 75.7 million euros for the state in the first half of 2011, thus 12.1 million euros more than for the same period of the last year. Compared to the first quarter, the toll collection in the second quarter grew by over 11%.
Increasing trend in the toll collection also continued in May
Bratislava 15 June 2011 – The complex service of electronic toll collection earned almost 13.8 million euros for the Slovak Republic in May. It is almost 11% more than for the same month of the last year. The increased toll collection is related to rise in freight road traffic, in particular on the part of domestic vehicle operators.
In April the toll collection reached almost 12.5 million euros
Bratislava 15 May 2011 – In April 2011 the complex service of electronic toll collection earned over 12.4 million euros for the Slovak Republic, which is compared to April 2010 almost 4.5% more. The lower sum of the toll collection compared to the previous month was due to lower intensity of freight road traffic related to Easter.
In the first quarter the toll earned 38% more for the state than a year ago
Bratislava 15 April 2011 – The toll collection in March was the second highest since its launch in January 2010. The complex service of electronic toll collection earned for the Slovak Republic over 13.6 million euros, which was by over 2.3 million euros more than for the previous month and almost by 700 thousand euros more than in March 2010. In total the toll earned almost 35.8 million euros for the state in the first quarter of 2011, which was by 9.9 million euros more than for the same period of the last year.
The state earned more in toll collection in February than in the previous month
Bratislava, 16 March 2011 – In February 2011 the trend of the toll collection growth continued. The complex service of electronic toll collection generated for the Slovak Republic over 11.3 million euros, which is almost 600 thousand euros more than in the previous month and as much as 80% more than in February 2010.
Year-to-year increase of toll collection reached 60% in January
Bratislava, 15 February 2011 – In January 2011, the complex service of electronic toll collection provided for the Slovak Republic over 10.7 million euros. Compared to the same month in 2010 when the amount of 6.6 million euros was collected, it represents a year-to-year increase of more than 60%.
Number of transit sections reduced from 1 March
Bratislava, 8 February 2011 - Drivers can use 12 transit sections on the territory of Slovakia for two months yet. The Ministry of Transportation, Construction and Regional Development extended the effect of the so-called transit ticketing till 31 March 2011. Národná diaľničná spoločnosť has decided to cancel six other transit sections of roads only rarely used by carriers from 1 March 2011.
For the first year of its operation, the toll collection amounted to over EUR 141 million
Bratislava, 14 January 2011 - For the twelve months of its operation, the Complex Service of Electronic Toll Collection generated for the Slovak Republic the sum of almost EUR 141.6 million. For December, the state collected over EUR 14 million on tolls.
